Senior Advisor Subsea Market

The Role

As Senior Advisor Subsea Market, you’ll be at the front line of shaping commercial strategy for subsea transport and installation projects. With vessels that can lift thousands of tonnes and operate at extreme depths, the company is a global player in offshore construction. Your focus: bringing deep technical knowledge together with commercial instincts to guide business development, identify opportunities, and maintain key industry relationships.

You’ll be working closely with regional Business Development Managers (covering Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas) as well as product segment leads in Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas. Your ability to combine market intelligence with technical insight will be essential to fuel strategy and secure long-term success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine strategy for the transport and installation of subsea structures.

  • Gather market intelligence, competitor analysis, and maintain industry data.

  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and in client-facing workshops.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and alliances.

  • Support BD teams with clear advice on market developments, pricing, and positioning.

  • Initiate and manage collaborations that open doors to new RFQ opportunities.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.

  • Strong technical understanding of subsea engineering and mooring systems.

  • 5–10 years’ experience in offshore construction, ideally Oil & Gas or Subsea projects.

  • Commercial mindset: outgoing, diplomatic, relationship-driven.

  • Ability to translate complex market information into clear, actionable advice.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Willing to travel internationally (approx. one week per month).

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a global outlook.
